Projeto Mulheres para Mulheres

A group of women in the island of Soga showed interest in a projects of shared, communal agriculture production.

The objective is to allow the local population to have a good quality of diversified meals (which is now mostly based on rice). To achieve this, they need mechanical tools for crop management and seeds and other crop-related chemical products such as fertilizers.

Women of Portugal made a loan of 10 euros each to this group of woman. The money was invested in the production of palm oil (very common in Soga) and the profits of this operation is already having an impact and improving their life conditions.
